TEEN BAND AUDITION - NOW ENROLLING
Since 2017, The Music Circle has shown nearly 300 students that group lesson and performance-based music education and experiences produce not just a better student, but a more confident person and musician.
From the classroom to the stage, our students walk through what it means to be a part of a band, understanding their role and responsibilities, and how that by working together, they can create a powerful experience for themselves, fellow students, and the world.
Our mission with our student-led performance groups is to engage an “inside out approach” - develop personal musicianship, group collaboration, and seek performance opportunities.
Pre-Requisites:
Accepting students ages 13-17
Auditioning: Bass, Drums, Voice, Piano, Keyboard
Students need to have their own instrument
Students are required to either have previous lesson experience and/or combination of performance or skills-based experience
Accepted students are not required to take lessons here to be part of the group. They can maintain lessons with their current instructor.
Audition Requirements:
Students that meet the above criteria will be sent a form to complete introducing themselves, their interests, background and why they want to be in the group
Certain applications will be selected for auditions on specified dates TBD
Auditions will consistent of backing band or backing track and will have the choice of performing 1 of 4 songs
Students will be critiqued on:
Professionalism
Performance Ability
Coach-ability
Stage Presence
Attitude
Teen Band Details:
Teen Band will meet most weeks for rehearsal. Schedule and times TBD.
Students will be learning music from a variety of genres
Rehearsal will consistent of set up, tear down, and run-through of select songs
The Teen Band will be part of our school performances as well as other performances throughout the year (Benefit Shows, Causes, First Responders Picnics…)
